Set-up A contained a beaker with sodium hydroxide and soda lime to absorb carbon dioxide in the air. Set-up B contained a beaker of water and pebbles. Both set-ups were placed in sunlight for several hours. A leaf from each plant is tested for starch. Explain your answer in b (your predicted starch-test observations).
