Question 41
Investigate large and small calcium carbonate (marble) chips reacting with hydrochloric acid. Use the same method for both experiments: a gas syringe, a top-pan balance or gas collected over water. Use 5 g chips and 25 cm³ acid each time. The size of the pieces will change, but their total mass stays the same. Why must the volume, type and concentration of acid also stay the same?
