Vegetation is one of the factors that influence climate. The size or area of the land covered with vegetation can impact the temperatures of a region. Figures 13.22 and 13.23 compare the surface cover. Vegetation cover can also affect precipitation levels. The figures show a forest with a lot of vegetation in Thailand and a desert with little vegetation in Namibia.
